We are an established organization with a strong global presence and excellent reputation as one of the leaders in our industry.Job Summary: Reporting to the Fulfillment Supervisor, the Shipping Specialist coordinates with production on all shipments and accounts for paperwork ensuring accuracy of invoicing as necessary. The Shipping Specialist is also responsible for coordinating and scheduling the receipt and trafficking of all inbound and outbound of materials with suppliers while maintaining proper security requirements and providing timely communication to leadership and customers as needed.Job Duties:
  • Plan, coordinate and schedule daily logistical activities related to forecasting, scheduling, and warehousing of incoming goods/parts
  • Manage suppliers and partners in order to assure on-time delivery of goods is maintained in accordance to company targets
  • Responsible for the auditing, reviewing, and processing of invoices
  • Contacts customers, vendors and carriers to create and validate delivery appointments.
  • Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
  • Monitors tracking and verifies delivery of shipments.
  • Updates truck schedules, traffic spreadsheets, and freight rates as required.
  • Identifies and solves problems pertaining to any trafficking issues.
  • Prepares all logistical documentation for inbound/outbound freight.
  • Pack, seal, label and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping.
  • Confer or correspond with CRM and/or management to rectify problems such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
  • Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory stock levels.
  • Other duties as assigned by management
Job Specifications:
  • Work performed in a light industrial setting.
  • Exposure to shop noise.
  • Regularly required to stand, reach and move about facilities for 8 hours a day
  • Able to work in environment with shop noise
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs. on a daily basis
  • Flexibility on schedule is required
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma required; Post-secondary degree preferred
  • At least two (2) years' experience in a Shipping role
  • Experience with UPS and FedEx Ship Manager Systems
  • Experience with ERP Systems; SAP preferred
  • Experience in cycle counting and physical inventory maintenance
  • Thorough knowledge of supply chain management field
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. Must be able to communicate with multiple levels of management and staff throughout the organization.
  • Effective interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Effective analytical ability with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
