As a member of the Family Wealth National Strategy Team this position is responsible for the acquisition of new Investment Management relationships for Key Private Bank's most affluent clients and multigenerational families. This position has direct responsibility to provide consultative investment expertise to our largest families and is responsible for leading the development of the investment strategy for new FW clients. This position directly supports FW Relationship Mangers (RMs) and Wealth Advisors on all Family Wealth IM&T sales opportunities, referrals and book of business reviews. Additional responsibilities include supporting the Family Wealth team when opportunities arise to expand the share of wallet of existing clients thru appropriate offerings of FW KPB IM&T products and services. In addition to having established COIs in their market(s) this position will develop centers of influence in the market(s) that can be leveraged into profitable relationships Builds and nurtures relationships by developing prospecting ideas, building a pipeline and generating sales through the NST. This position works closely with members of the assigned client team including the FW investment advisor to implement the agreed upon investment strategies. The position also seeks to influence the broader Key Private Bank Portfolio Strategies team to represents the platform needs of Key Family Wealth.

Prospecting, Pipeline & Opportunity Management
* Serve on FWNST to develop, monitor and close FW IM&T pipeline for entire footprint.
* Serves as the primary investment strategy resource all external IM&T sales opportunities.
* Develop and refine FW KPB investment management value proposition and deliver internally and externally in conjunction with the Director of FW Investment Management and the KPB Investment Management leadership team.
* Partner with FW Segment and Field teams to pursue IM&T sales opportunities, including closing of the deal.
* Understands what differentiates FW and develops a unique sales approach that differentiates FW from the rest of the marketplace.

Investment Advisory
* Integration of KPB's investment philosophy and best thinking into a comprehensive sales strategy within the NST.
* Evaluate investment strategies and brief FW teams, prospects and clients as appropriate, providing insight, direction and advice.
* Maintains detailed knowledge of investment markets, concepts, solutions and strategies for KPB's ultra-affluent clients/prospects including a working knowledge of relevant tax issues.
* Advocates for client interests including ways to achieve client goals not currently available on KPB's investment platform.
* Creates, implements and coordinates a comprehensive family financial strategy, including a comprehensive Investment Policy Statement (IPS)
* Develops and maintains communication flow from investment research team and internal experts in each asset class to FWNST.
* Monitors and can articulate FW's investment integration of multiple and segregated family financial strategies, IPSs and asset allocation strategies
* Understands and can articulate the selection and monitoring process of the money managers who carry out the actual investing of various aspects of the portfolio, including cash management, bonds, equities, alternatives and derivatives
* Maintains a working knowledge of non-investment related advisory issues and solutions which may impact the team's ability to help clients achieve their goals and aspirations.
* Shares intellectual capital among the group of similarly experienced advisors within the Family Wealth Group, particularly the NST.

Portfolio Construction Support
* Works collaboratively with the KPB investment management team to develop the strategies and solutions necessary to adopt and maintain the investment mandate identified in the IPS. Operates within the KPB investment management platform and offers suggestions for improvement to it.
* Identifies specific opportunities to adopt alternative investment strategies designed to achieve IPS goals and objectives.
* Identifies specific risk mitigation strategies designed to achieve IPS goals and objectives.
* Understands and can articulate client preferences for socially responsible and impact related investment strategies within the framework of KPB's investment platform.

Compliance
* Fulfills Key's fiduciary responsibilities with consistent adherence to all internal policies and procedures, regulatory and legal requirements
* Anticipates and mitigates risk on assigned accounts
* Complies diligently with all KPB client related mandates including timely Reg. 9 completion, Investment Policy Statement updates, appropriate documentation of client direction and any other regulatory mandate.
* Advises relationship managers and all other partners on relevant investment management issues.

Sales
* Assists in the closing of additional new business associated with assigned accounts or in tandem with the relationship team and local client contacts.
* Cultivates potential new customer relationships with qualified prospects both independently and with team members
* Identifies and prioritizes investment management opportunities through the completion of the client profile and active rendering of advice relative to non-custodial client assets.
* Participates in professional associations and events to demonstrate professional credibility and to develop and expand COI and other networking opportunities. Includes membership and active participation in local CFA chapters and other professional organizations.

Reputation
* Meets and engages with clients, prospective clients, family office managers, attorneys, accountants, consultants and co-fiduciaries
* Fosters close business relationships to develop client loyalty and new business opportunities
* Creates and executes on opportunities to showcase as subject-matter-expert presenter
* Enhances Key's reputation by concentrated networking with ultra high net worth individuals and advisors

Leadership
* Promotes professional team atmosphere that encourages open dialogue as to ideas and alternatives leading to exceptional client experience and successful sales environment
* Supports business objectives through active advocacy and behavioral adoption
* Works actively to mentor and develop KPB investment management personnel.
* Participates in KeyCorp's commitment to community

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Ten plus years investment management or advisory experience or equivalent direct work experience primarily responsible for ultra high net worth individuals, families and family offices.
* Deep knowledge of sophisticated investment strategies including non-traditional and alternative investments.
* Detailed understanding of performance measurement concepts and methodologies and working knowledge of related systems.
* Undergraduate degree in business related field or equivalent experience
* Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (both written and verbal) on full spectrum of client and COI profiles - from C-level executives to younger generations
* Demonstrated dedicated commitment and proven track record in cultivating existing client relationships with a view toward revenue enhancement and profitability
* Recognition as a Trusted Advisor with experience working directly with high net worth or high profile individuals
* Expert management skills in fostering, facilitating and delivering on the ultra high net worth market expectations
* CFA, CIMA, or CAIA certification

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience as subject-matter-expert to in-house and industry groups
* Demonstrated new business and/or client service accomplishments in ultra-high net worth market
* Advanced Degree (MBA, MA, MS)
