Job Description
Genesis10 is seeking a Technical Specialist for a long-term contract position with a leading client in Akron, OH. This role pays $30.00 - 35.00 /hour W2 based on experience. This position will work remotely 90% of the time but may work onsite occasionally in Akron, OH.

Job Duties:
  • Weekly Smart Meter update of TR and SC meters by OpCo
    • Shows percent completion of legacy vs Smart meter installs for SC and TR meters. Lists overall status (Behind, On Track, Ahead)
    • Utilize PowerBI and Meter Services Dashboards
  • Wellington Deployment Plan report
    • Needed by weekly. Data sources PowerBI Ohio Full Pop, Itron open orders report, WEI inventory report. Smart meter deployment plan.
  • Review installed legacy meter records in SAP for Grid Mod 2 and determine what the replacement should be.
  • Build and monitor an ordering plan based on this information.
  • Work with meter vendor (Itron) and install vendor (Wellington).
  • Transformer Rated meter report for Ohio Grid Mod 2
    • Used by Meter Test Shop Material Control Specialist to assist with Transformer Rated smart meter ordering. Data sources: Qlikview meter services dashboard, SAP MMBE, and Itron open orders report. Identify transformer rated meters with and without existing exchange orders and determine what the replacement smart meter will be.
  • SMIP Forecast cost meeting report
    • Forecasting spread sheet needs updated before end of month meeting with PMO. Data sources: SAP MB51 for purchase history, Itron open order report, deployment plan. Used to track dollars on the Itron smart meter blanket and plan when to request money to be added to the blanket. Also, a tab for tracking actual installs versus the plan.
    • SAP system and PowerBI reporting knowledge required to validate requests for additional funding to be added to purchase blanket.
  • Wellington turns based on monthly installs
    • Use SAP and Qlikview Inventory Dashboard to gather install and install reversals. Calculate turns for each week and running average YTD. Chart progress the first of each month.
  • Wellington Operational install plan vs actual
    • Track Welling operational planned versus actual installs. Determine number of non-smart meters in each district from PowerBI Ohio Full pop dashboard and determine what each replacement meter should be, then by week determine what meters should be installed by WEI.
Requirements:
  • Requires understanding metering forms and stock ID's
  • Prior project material inventory experience recommended
  • High understanding of metering forms.
  • High understanding of metering and meter types
  • Medium understanding of SAP metering knowledge
  • Must have a high understanding of interpreting meter material descriptions, meter forms, and characteristics of both AMI and non-AMI meters. Use this knowledge to establish a vendor forecast of smart meters needed to replace legacy meters in line with the deployment schedule.
  • Ability to analyze installation forecasts across multiple inventory locations (cross docks) that will be installing meters concurrently.
  • Ability to identity future material shortages based on deployment forecasts and past installation rates.
  • Ability to make recommendations on maintaining appropriate inventory levels and corrective action for inventory shortages.
  • Facilitate meetings with client leadership, meter manufacture representatives and meter deployment contacts weekly and as requested.
  • Ability to craft and present reports to leadership as requested.
  • Must be fluent in Excel, Word, and other reporting software (Qlikview/PowerBI).
