Reviews, evaluates, and monitors business compliance activities. Assists with product filings, gathers documentation, compiles, and reports compliance data. Supports regulatory change management, product development, market conduct exams, and compliance review.
Responsibilities
* Gathers applicable statutes, regulations and documentation and compiles and reports compliance data for product filings to regulatory agencies.
* Supports workflow associated with statutory and regulatory changes. Follows new or enhanced processes based on research.
* Assists with responding to state product filing objections. Administers standard regulatory change management, including issue identification, collaboration with the business on requirements, and documentation. Maintains relationship with assigned business unit stakeholders.
* Conducts quality assurance and monitors compliance of business procedures and products including the development, enhancement, and documentation of processes.
* Supports oversight and management of identified non-compliance, including the development, enhancement, and documentation of processes.
* Supports review of forms and processes including research, analysis, and collaboration with business and legal partners. Recommends updates and/or process improvements.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare administration, audit, law, or related field.
* In lieu of degree, may consider equivalent combination of education/training and experience.
* 2 years of experience as a Compliance Analyst or equivalent experience in financial services, preferably health insurance.
Professional Certification
* Certified Compliance Management Professional (CCEP) coursework is a plus.
Technical Skills and Knowledge
* Understanding of regulatory frameworks and insurance regulations.
* Knowledge of due diligence and audit processes.
* Knowledge of industry-standard programs of insurance, including coverage concepts, rating procedures, and underwriting philosophies.
* Intermediate Microsoft Office and compliance software (OneSumX) skills.
* Proficiency with System for Electronic Rate & Form Filing (SERFF) or similar software.
