Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for technical duties in support of new product design, sustaining engineering of existing products, and/or product improvements. Product portfolio includes thermal management components and systems for aerospace applications. Work to be performed on site in Mentor, OH under direction of senior engineers. Preference for back-to-back sessions (spring/summer, or summer/fall).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Provide support to design engineering team

2. 3D CAD modelling (using Pro-E) of new product designs or changes to existing products

3. Validation testing of components or assemblies, or specification of test plans

4. Preparation of technical presentations

5. Writing of technical reports & proposals

6. Drafting of engineering change orders for configuration control

7. New product development assistance - may include: material selection, support of thermal or structural analysis, validation testing, cost reduction, and/or improvement of manufacturability

8. Support manufacturing and production activities

9. Design tooling and fixturing

10. Support product troubleshooting and root cause investigations

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

Working towards Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, additional coursework in Electrical Engineering desirable. Some experience with 3D CAD modelling software through coursework. Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
