As aProcess Engineeryou will have a successful track record in design for manufacturing, product transfer and technical leadership in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry and the ability to guide impactful improvements in the organization. We ask for up to 10% both domestic and international travel. You will take an active role in improving performance to ensure a safe environment, good quality and efficiency in manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Help coordinate technology transfer of OLED manufacturing processes between sites.
Identify solutions, including process analytical technologies which lead to process control.
Prepare technical reports that support scale-up activities and process improvements.
Review manufacturing batch records and protocols and participates in the training of operators and technicians in new operations.
Apply scientific and engineering principles for research programs involving product development, processing, manufacturing technology, and quality control.
Responsible for documentation to ensure the manufacture of new products; including batch records,production instructions, validation, and stability protocols.
Troubleshoot problems with manufacturing processes and optimizes development processes.
Participate in hazard analyses, including PHA's, Process Safety Management and take ownership of assigned actions.
Analyze methodologies to address unplanned events or reliability issues, and mentor other department personnel on their usage.
Evaluate equipment and processes to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Chemical engineering or a related field with 3+ years of experience.
Ability to work with and collaborate with multiple departments and sites.
A combination of technical service, product/process development, processing laboratory techniques and regulatory requirements in chemical, pharmaceutical or related industries.
Experience with fundamental theories and principles of Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma
Experience with DOE to support scale-up of development processes at manufacturing sites.
Using tools such as statistics, downtime tracking, mechanical history, project planning when identifying opportunity areas.
