Job Description

This part-time adjunct instructor position will provide instruction in traditional and non-traditional modalities for Education and/or American Sign Language courses.

Instructors work with the Program Coordinator to prepare and deliver instruction of coursework to meet program requirements and licensing standards.

Instructors complete assessment of student performance as well as electronic submission of Never Attends, Early Alerts, midterm grades, and final grades by the required dates.

Instructors must be able to work with and support different learning styles. Instructors in this position will teach hybrid courses (blended on-line and face to face).


Must be able to develop and implement innovative approaches to pedagogy.

Must be able to work effectively with diverse student populations.

Instructors are required to complete instructor training, as applicable.

Bachelor's Degree in Interpreting, Education, or related field is required.

Master's Degree in Interpreting, Education or related field is preferred.

A minimum of two years experience as an Interpreter or sign language teacher is required.

Previous teaching experience in higher education if preferred.
