Position Summary:

In the Senior Manager, Accounting position, you'll play a key role within the Finance & Accounting team by contributing to the ongoing growth and success of Direct Supply. You'll be responsible for providing valuable financial expertise to our operating group, conducting financial analysis, and creating processes to support business complexity and growth.

What You'll Do and Impact:

  • Lead and manage direct reports, providing guidance, supervision, professional development, and talent opportunities.

  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of financial records, reports, and transactions.

  • Stay updated on accounting standards and changes in financial reporting requirements, assessing their impact on the organization.

  • Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.

  • Proactively address, analyze, and research technical accounting matters to support expanding business growth, and other financial accounting and reporting matters that may arise. Design processes to support business growth and complexity. Provide recommendations and inform the leadership team of opportunities for improvement.

  • Own the month-end close process, quarterly reporting material for the Board of Directors, and liaison for interim and final audit fieldwork with external auditors.

  • Lead Finance Support for Facilities, HR and Legal.

  • Partner with senior Finance & Accounting leadership to provide oversight and direction on internal financial practices to different Lines of Business and Functional groups across the business.

  • Drive budgeting and forecasting activities in collaboration with team members embedded within the business.

  • Effectively communicate financial activity to business owners and facilitate necessary knowledge sharing across the organization through verbal and written means.

  • Work closely with senior leadership to coordinate meaningful financial analysis and oversight to support strategic decision making, including periodic report-outs to the Executive Team.

  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement through process and system efficiencies.

  • Drive process change by leveraging AI, technology applications and best practices to deliver increased productivity.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA designation and experience in Public Accounting is highly preferred.

  • 8+ years of accounting experience, including direct leadership of team

  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations and the ability to interpret and apply them appropriately.
