Description

The Fixed Income B&F Senior Associate will require a clear understanding of the department functions and procedures. They will communicate with personnel to initiate instructions submitted by bank clients. They will also provide analytical and sales support for interest rate derivatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide analytical and sales support for interest rate derivative, including preparing client presentations, custom modeling and pricing include swaptions, caps, collars floors, embedded optionality, and percent or LIBOR.
  • Lead loan documentation review and work with bank and client counsels to ensure proper language, structure and cross-collateralization.
  • Provide bankers and clients with an economic/market basis for swap rate changes.
  • Follow-up with bankers when the derivative marketers are traveling.
  • Involved in syndicated transactions and conduct appropriate back-testing to ensure proper revenue payout to our client banks.
  • Provide live over-the-phone rate quotes to bankers as well as maximum exposure and revenue estimates while maintaining appropriate Dodd-Frank compliance.
  • Execute swaps with end-user bank clients and swap dealers, ensuring identical structuring and accurate and fair pricing.
  • Work directly with end-user clients to determine the most appropriate and advantageous loan and swap structures unique to multiple lines of business (owner-occupied RE, investment RE, C&I).
  • Work directly with and educate end-user clients about interest rate swaps and answer questions about swap mechanics, billing, and ECP qualifications.

  • Ability to learn a general understanding of rules/regulations and policies that pertain to the department.

  • Proficient in regulatory areas related to the interest rate swap product (ISDA Protocols, Portfolio Reconciliations, Swap Data Repository Reporting, GMEI registration, Clearing House registration, etc.) and any new regulations that arise.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum required: Bachelor's degree in economics or finance.
  • Minimum required: 2+ years of related work experience.

LICENSES AND CREDENTIALS

  • Minimum required: none.

SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Work, and PowerPoint.
