Job Description
As this is a hybrid position working out of our Creative Studios in Westlake, Ohio, we will focus on candidates currently residing in Northeast Ohio.
American Greetings is seeking a dynamic Senior Manager, FP&A who thrives on change and approaches all facets of the job with a continuous improvement mindset.
In this role you will provide strategic, analytical and tactical finance leadership to the supply chain of American Greetings. This position will work with business unit and supply chain leadership to maximize profitable growth and streamline business spending.
This position must drive coordination between our commercial and supply chain functions to make profitable business decisions by providing business analysis and identifying key cost drivers for pricing and margin expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsible for financial monthly reporting related to the global supply chain as well as developing long term strategic plans, annual operating plans, business metrics, and capital requests.
* Provide financial decision support to business units and supply chain leadership teams.
* Connect operational decisions and activities to financial statements and results.
* Support commercial and financial strategies enabled by effective planning, measurement and reporting
* Identify new opportunities for cost savings and incorporate best in class business processes
* Manage financial analytical support for the global supply functions and support the operational management team (manufacturing, distribution plant management, Asia Supply and Corporate Transportation) to achieve their financial targets
* Develop and manage financial reporting and forecasting tools for all global supply functions
* Analyze and report actions causing operational spending, purchase price variances and manufacturing /distribution /transportation variances to plan, forecast and prior year
* Prepare costing models and financial analysis for product "make vs. buy" decisions.
* Assist in capital appropriation requests and programs as well as review assumptions and financial impact of each capital request
* Prepare operational and financial modeling for special projects and long-term supply chain strategies
* Coordinate the development of product standard costs and ensure cost-of-goods-sold are accurately portrayed in financial statements
