Job Description

The Co-Op Employee assists with performing a variety of continuous improvement related projects and tasks. Responsibilities may include providing support to other engineers and professional employees, assisting with implementing and monitoring projects, and developing reports and recommendations.

This is a 6-month co-op rotation. Candidate MUST be available May-December.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
-Assists with performing a variety of continuous improvement related tasks related to any of the following: process improvement, general engineering, and related areas.
-Works with engineers, chemists, and other staff to understand tasks and objectives, receive direction on professional level questions and issues, and communicate results.
-Assists with ensuring compliance with department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
-Assists with implementing and monitoring projects that impact limited functions to ensure objectives and timelines are met and works with management or plant personnel as required to complete tasks.
-Monitors on-going and updated operations, processes, equipment, and related areas, develops and reviews a variety of reports and documents, and recommends adjustments to specific equipment or activities as needed.
-May perform a variety supportive maintenance, operational, and production tasks.
-Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university at the time of the internship
- Must have sophomore, junior or senior class standing
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Power Point
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.8

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship, co-op or work experience in a related field is a plus
- Demonstrated leadership by involvement in extracurricular activities on campus or in the community
