Behind the scenes: With more than 100 million connections installed globally, ERICO CADWELD has set the industry standard in exothermic welding since 1939.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Key role responsibilities

  • Set up and perform a wide variety of silver brazing, heliarc, arc, automatic wire feed and gas welding operations.
  • Work on standard or special production parts, short run items, fixtures or repair items, using a wide range of material types and thicknesses.
  • Use jigs and fixtures or clamps to position parts to maintain dimensions, prevent distortion, by welding for mechanical strength and appearance.
  • Regulate voltage and current, adjust gas pressure, select electrodes, welding rods and tips to meet a variety of conditions.
  • Work from drawings, sketches, instructions and samples using calipers, rule and square.
  • Report faulty equipment, defective material and unusual conditions to supervisor. Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Help train and onboard new welders

YOU HAVE:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years Manufacturing or Production work experience.
  • Bend, squat down, and reach above your head
  • Climb stairs and ladders
  • Lift and carry at least 25 pounds
  • Work in confined spaces
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced; multi-taksing environment and meet operational deadlines.
  • Self-Motivating
  • Identify and escalate non-conforming process, product, or environmental issues
  • Ability to work with a team as a part of an agile and flexible workforce
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Detail-oriented
