Description: Seidman 3 is a 30 bed inpatient unit who cares for patients with malignant hematologic diagnoses such as multiple myeloma, lymphoma and leukemia. Autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantation occurs on the division in addition to CAR-T cell therapy. Primary focus is on disease management through chemotherapy and biotherapy, prevention of infection/bleeding and managing fluid/electrolyte/nutrition imbalances. Relationship based nursing is achieved through assignment of consistent RNs who care for the patient during each inpatient stay.

Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
