WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Perform exothermic, mechanical, electrical and environmental testing

  • Document test results

  • Prepare and fabricate test samples

  • Manage and organize lab material

  • Plan lab project activity

  • Order raw materials and consumables for testing

  • Perform prototype and research testing

  • Propose testing process improvements

  • Operate power and manual tools such as saws, drill press, press brake, etc.

  • Work with Operations, NPI, Application Engineering, Product Management, and Sales personnel

  • Equipment maintenance and upkeep for the lab area

You have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in a technical field preferred

  • Experience with mechanical testing and exothermic products preferred

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to work independently without direct oversight

  • Ability to read/interpret drawings, specifications, and reports

  • Familiarity with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), general computer proficiency

  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, corporate team environment

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to bend, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time to perform testing

  • Ability to distinguish colors

  • Ability to interact with exothermic products with solid and gaseous reaction products

  • < 5% Travel (for example, equipment and material suppliers)
