Summary:

This role will be working at our Wooster facility, performing repairs and maintenance of asphalt paving and support equipment.
Working environment is primarily indoor, with intermittent work outdoors as needed.

** This role will be 1st shift. **

• Typical hours/shift are Monday - Saturday: 6:30am - 5:00pm

** This role will require being a member of, or a willingness to join, the local operator's union.**

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Work both supervised and unsupervised
• Perform tasks in a timely manner
• Work both efficiently and safely, following the protocols and practices set in place by our Safety Team and Safety Culture
• Must value his and other team members' safety as the number 1 priority
• Work in various environments
• Operate company equipment
• Submit necessary paperwork as needed
• Complete necessary training as prescribed by the company
• Get along with others and represent the company in a positive manner
• Follow direction of supervisors and other project team members
• Willing to fill in, when needed, in the field at times as a field mechanic supporting paving operations

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Must have knowledge of general equipment repair, asphalt paving equipment knowledge a plus
• 5+ years' experience preferred
• Experience in reading/understanding electrical and hydraulic schematics/systems
• Welding and fabrication skills are a big plus for this role
• Must have mechanical knowledge
• Lockout tagout experience and/or certification
• Ability to properly document work completed
• CDL not required, but a plus
• Clean driving record
• Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screenings on demand
• Must be able to work alone or with large groups of team members
• Able to lift 75 lbs
