Regional Operations Manager
Position Type: Full Time/Exempt
Reports To: Senior VP

Please Note: It is necessary to be centrally located within Region 17.

RE Michel Company, LLC is a leading HVACR wholesale distributor with over 300 locations coast to coast (opening new and renovating current locations across its regions) is currently seeking a professional Regional Operations Manager to cover the Ohio territory Region 17.

General Summary: Reporting to the Senior Vice President, the Regional Branch Manager (RBM) is responsible for effective and profitable management of each branch within their region. Works in tandem with the Regional Sales Manager and assists each branch manager in achieving sales, Net Profit and Gross Profit goals as established by the company.
 
Recruiting, hiring (after consultation with the Senior VP) and training branch personnel. Works with each branch manager in the region to ensure that proper inventory is properly maintained, and inventory turn goals are reached.  Also, products or product lines, which have high company priorities, are in stock, are properly displayed and receive proper emphasis from the sales effort of the branch.

Oversees the recruiting, hiring, training, and developing of personnel in all aspects of branch operations.  Will act as a mediator if needed between branch personnel.  Also, utilizes their region's employees to cover for vacations, sick leave and other short-term absences.  Also, identifies, locates, contacts and interviews potential additions to our work force based on current and future needs.

Ability to manage personnel.  This entails communication during a variety of situations and enforcement of company and branch policies.  This may be acquired through previous personnel management experience or specific training.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Basic math skills, this is normally acquired through completion of a high school education. Understanding level pricing, GP, P&L’s. Extensive knowledge of HVACR products, i.e., parts, equipment and supplies. Ability to assist customers and internal sales reps with equipment match ups configuration and job estimate costs. Extensive travel to each branch in designated region, meeting with branch managers, branch personnel and customers; when necessary, travel to our Headquarters, other regions and attend trade shows.

Physical ability to stand and walk.  Physical ability to safely lift and carry items weighing less than 20 pounds for 25 percent of work time.  Knowledge of material handling equipment on order to safely move product weighing more than 50 pounds 30 percent of work time.
