POSITION OBJECTIVE
This position is intended to serve as a bridge between the CWRU faculty and the Division of Student Affairs. The main objective is to bring together and synergize the cultures and practices of the students' academic and non-curricular experiences for improved student success and satisfaction. This is a three-year, 50% FTE commitment for a CWRU faculty member.
Reporting to the VP of Student Affairs, the position serves as a faculty advisor to the VP and point of contact for all faculty regarding all parts of the Division. The Senior Faculty Advisor will support the implementation of the Student Affairs office reorganization, providing insight to how faculty across the university can become a strong partner in the office. This includes working closely with the leadership team of the VP of Student Affairs.
In addition, the Senior Faculty Advisor will develop and begin implementing a five year plan for faculty-student engagement, with metrics focused on both faculty and student retention and satisfaction. This includes listening, identifying problems and solutions, and then developing a plan for implementing the solutions, not limited to:
Other duties include creating an advisory board of faculty for the Division, and working with office leads (like career services, research, etc.) on how best to integrate faculty and the office work into the student experience.

Department: Daily contact with the Vice President and senior team.
Students: Occasional contact with students and student groups for feedback into the integrated processes.
University: Regular contact with school-based deans, office of the provost, faculty at large, faculty senate as appropriate.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
None.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Leadership service at the department, decanal, or faculty senate level is favorably viewed.
Education: Doctoral degree required; tenured or tenure track.

General office environment. This position is eligible for the staff hybrid work program.
