Job Summary: 12-month fellowship for applicant with strong interest in cardiology. A total of 1440 hours of combined clinical mentored hours and didactic including interdisciplinary rounds, conference, hands on lab. Candidate will get clinical experience and didactic learning in cardiology specialties, such as electrophysiology, interventional, structural heart, advanced heart failure, inpatient and outpatient settings.

Evaluation is based on successful completion of all rotations, performance, formal presentation, and learning activities. Position is paid with benefits.

Education/Training:

Physician Assistant in the State of Ohio (or eligible) or Registered Nurse with master's degree in Nursing with successful completion of a graduate level APRN program. Certified by a national board.

Scope of Practice:

Under the Standard Care Agreement in collaboration with the Cardiologists, the APP assists with the management of the cardiology patient. Medical diagnostics, therapeutics, and medical management functions will be carried out in accordance with guidelines established by the State of Ohio, Aultman Medical Staff Bylaws and hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.

Physical Requirements:

Sits, stands, and moves frequently throughout the work schedule. Lifting, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, reaching, kneeling, and climbing stairs. Must have ability to handle all situations with emotional stability.

Working Conditions:

Subject to varying and unpredictable situations and frequent interruptions.
