Summary:
SKF is seeking a Machinist to operate a variety of machine including CNC and manual machines. This position reports to the Production Manager. As a machinist on the SKF Solutions Factory team you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of machines. You will be expected to perform machining operations including turning, boring, facing, milling, drilling, and tapping. You will set up and operate machining department equipment, manual and CNC. You will also have the opportunity to work with Lathes, vertical mills, boring mill, jig grinder and surface grinder. The SKF Solutions Factory site is in Highland Heights, OH.

Responsibilities Include but Not Limited to:

• Operate all start up and shut down a variety of machine(s) following established company procedures and safety guidelines.
• Read/interpret Engineering drawings and quality specifications.
• Set up, program, and manufacture complete parts from Engineering drawings minimizing scrap and rework.
• Set up and operate machining department equipment, manual, and CNC.
• Perform part inspection using precision measuring instruments.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment including identification of unsafe conditions.

Requirements:

• Minimum High School certificate or GED.
• Previous experience or education in machining and cutting tools.
• Basic computer skills, with CAD ability preferred.
• Experience with Mori Seiki CNC lathe, Fadal, and Fryer vertical mills is a plus.
• Must be willing to work overtime when needed.
• Must be able to lift or move materials up to 25 lbs.
• Available to work 1st Shift (7 AM - 3 PM) with opportunity for Overtime.
