Job Title: Machine Operator / Welder - Fabrication Shop - 2nd Shift

Responsible for operating a weld machine on a production line welding a variety of pipe while meeting daily production goals.

**2nd Shift Hours: Monday - Thursday: 3:45pm - 4:15am & Friday: 3:45pm - 2:15am -- Subject to Mandatory O.T.**
*Must be able to work mandatory overtime when given.*

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints/sketches and prepare material accordingly
  • Adjust weld parameters and machine settings to ensure weld(s) conform with all specifications
  • Inspect weld(s) for any non-conformance, missing welds, and repair or rework as necessary, also alerting other employees if necessary
  • Perform daily machine maintenance
  • Inspect pipe for any quality issues and that end prep is correct
  • Strong math skills are frequently used

Education / Work Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 2-3 years of welding experience is required, with skill levels to obtain a 2G.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
