Job Summary
The Senior Lead ADTS, Avient Distribution is responsible for optimizing customer processes and conditions while providing education to external customers on how to run Avient materials. Tooling design and flow modeling. Troubleshoot issues that are raised by the customer. May be accountable for or participate in the resolution of customer complaints. May also be responsible for developing a new application or product launch testing plan and procedure, data analysis, and communication of results. Eight plus years of direct, relevant experience with the ability to interact, present and influence cross functionally and globally both internally and externally with customers. Performs independently and effectively coaches others to achieve results in a matrix environment. Demonstrated ability to influence at the peer level as well as next level in the organization. The individual must have the professionalism, technical and business competencies, and communication skills to lead design application development efforts with OEMs and Contract Manufacturers.
The position is based in the U.S. and the preferred location is near Denver, Colorado; Salt Lake City, Utah; or San Francisco Bay, California. Up to 75% travel may be required.
Essential Functions
- With minimal to no guidance, provides project management for the development of new application, product launch testing plan, data analysis, and/or communication of results.
- Works with targeted and established customers to identify technical specifications required for Avient customers.
- Incorporates Avient products and services into customer applications across multiple business units.
- Work with suppliers to understand and convey OEM material / market needs.
- Documentation and preparation of product specifications incorporating Avient products and services into customer applications.
- Manages successful resolution of customer complaints/issues.
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree required in Chemical Engineering, Plastics or Polymer Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 year completing technical writing, customer support, research, and project management
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Complex problem thinking skills in translating customer needs into solutions.
- Technical aptitude.
- Broad knowledge of solutions, materials and processing.
- Self-motivated and team player.
- Strong organizational skills required.
- Position will require up to 75% travel
